Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP)

The Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP), launched in 1999 by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, is a process by which colleges and universities demonstrate they meet accreditation standards through a continuous quality improvement process.

Through action projects, a Systems Portfolio, and a quality check-up visit, institutions demonstrate they meet the five criteria for accreditation established by the Higher Learning Commission.
